Here is a visual

For my 1 or 2 readers I wanted to make it very clear what is happening to me on wednesday. Because it seems that describing it in words doesn't seem to click with some that I thought would be smart enough to 'get it'. I had a conversation with a family member the other day and I swear she didnt hear a single word i said. After about 20 minutes on the phone, she started to ask crazy questions and then I realized that she thought I was having a mastectomy. UM! NO!!!! To be completely honest, i wouldn't go and have a double mastectomy/reconstruction with a 3 year old and a very needy 6 year old. Its going to be bad enough trying to keep them from being their normal selves (crazy, uncontrolable maniacs) for 3 days yet alone 6-12 weeks!

So here is the visual. This is what my (and pretty much every womans down there girl parts look like inside. There is a vaginal canal, the cervix, the uterus and then breaking off to the wings are the fallopian tubes and the ball at the end is the ovaries. This is a healthy looking female reproductive system:

As of wednesday, my female reproductive parts will look a little different. They will be unable to drop eggs and lead them to the uterus. So, I will be very lucky to never have my period again as a result. The down side is that taking the ovaries out, do put us in a very unknown state of 'what the hell am i going to be like without the hormones'. So this is what I will look like inside. (unless something goes wrong)
